Introducing our very own Black Thorn Durian Mooncake, the rarest durian Mooncake in Singapore.
Black Thorn is a new, rare durian variety from Penang and has a waiting time of 2 years in some places. This variety has sky-rocketed in fame thanks to its extravagant flavor – it has rich, creamy flesh with an underlying sweetness and a slight alcoholic aftertaste. A combination of flavours you’ll have to try to believe.
Wanting to create something truly special, we partnered with the first place winner of the Durian World Championship in 2018; to bring you this super limited-edition mooncake.

First time trying Durian Bakery’s black thorn mooncake and it exceeded my expectations! Their mooncake tasted better than those you get from 5 star hotels; very thin skin and extremely generous with the black thorn filling. Absolutely recommended! 😋😋 Will buy more to gift my family!!

You can tell that the quality of the mooncake is really good because they put in the effort to stretch out the mooncake skin as thin as possible and maximise the filling in it which does not come cheap at all. Thank you for the wonderful treat!

Wanted to see what’s all the hype about it being the world’s rarest mooncake. It sure didn’t disappoint, the durian flavour was on point, tasted a little bit like alcohol which is what black thorn is known for. Snowskin was soft and thin as well. Very worth it, thumbs up!
